A football fan in Germany has tragically passed away during RB Leipzig’s game against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Supporters fell silent inside the Red Bull Arena after resuscitation was attempted without success.
According to DW Sports, the Leipzig fans remained “nearly silent” following the harrowing incident. It has also been reported a car accident before the game took the life of a Monchengladbach fan. This further contributed to the sombre atmosphere in the ground.
RB Leipzig claimed a 2-0 win over Monchengladbach on a desperately sad night for both clubs.
