Lisa Armstrong shared a cryptic late-night post on Sunday just hours after her ex-husband Ant McPartlin revealed he and his second wife Anne-Marie Corbett are expecting their first baby together. The Strictly makeup artist, 47, who was married to Ant, 48, for 11 years, took to Instagram in the early hours of Sunday morning to repost a snap that pop icon Britney Spears posted to her own Instagram.
The cryptic late-night post that Lisa shared was just of a pink background and a small heart in the middle. However, it appears that Lisa shared the post in solidarity as Britney has struggled with her love life recently too after her estranged husband Sam Asghari, has nearly finalised their divorce, six months after he filed to end their 14-month marriage.
It comes after the 48-year-old has reportedly confirmed to pals that he is set to become a first-time father with wife Anne-Marie, 46, after his long-time desire for a family. The TV host is said to be ‘beyond delighted’ by the news as he told his Britain’s Got Talent co-stars this week and revealed Anne-Marie was due in June.
Taking to Instagram for the first time just hours after the news was announced, Lisa paid tribute to the beloved dog she still shares with Ant, Hurley. The adorable sketch of a dog’s paws in its owner’s hands read: ‘Thank you for being my dog, someone to do life with, and above all, thank you for being my best friend.’ Lisa reposted the drawing alongside some praying hand emojis as she gushed over the chocolate Labrador she still shares custody of with Ant.
During their divorce battle, Ant is said to have told lawyers: ‘She can have anything she wants – except the dog’, as the former couple reportedly agreed to take it in turns to look after Hurley. Ant previously revealed in a candid 2013 interview that he and Lisa experienced a ‘tough’ battle trying to conceive.
