Man, 40s, rushed to hospital with serious injuries after vicious assault

A MAN in his 40s has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a vicious assault. Two men have been arrested following the brutal attack.

The shock incident happened in Tipperary town in the early hours of this morning. The victim, a male in his 40s, was seriously injured when he was assaulted on the roadway outside Greenane Drive at approximately 2.00am.

The injured man was rushed to University Hospital Limerick where his condition is described as serious but stable. Police investigating the brutal attack have since arrested two males – both aged in their 30s.

Both men are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Police stations in County Tipperary.
