Two people dead after horror crash as police investigate tragedy

TWO people have died after a horror crash on a Scots road.

Emergency crews raced to the scene of the tragedy on Tuesday June 14 around 3:55pm.

The tragic incident involved a a silver Toyota Yaris, a cyclist and a pedestrian on the A815 near Sandbank, Dunoon.

Sadly, the 67-year-old cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 90-year-old woman was rushed to the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley as a precaution but she tragically died in the hospital on Friday night.

The 63-year-old pedestrian was raced to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where she was treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the car was also taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital.

Following the tragic crash, cops shut down the road for around five hours and launched a probe.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.

Traffic cops have also urged anyone who may have dashcam footage that could help their investigation to get in touch.
