Good Morning Britain star rushed to hospital for emergency surgery

Good Morning Britain’s chief correspondent Richard Gaisford has disclosed that he was urgently admitted to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery. The 51-year-old journalist expressed his gratitude to the NHS as he shared a photograph of himself from his hospital bed yesterday afternoon.

He wrote, “Not quite the Sunday I’d planned. Many thanks to the incredible team @PHU_NHS for amazing care and a spot of emergency surgery. NHS at its very best. I realise there are untold pressures at the moment, but the service I received was first class and hugely appreciated.”

Richard’s well-wishers promptly extended their wishes for his recovery, hoping to see him back on TV soon. Laura Tobin, also part of the GMB team, commented, “Take care x.”
