A group of migrants has been discovered in the back of a lorry amidst a significant incident at a Sussex port.
Video footage from Newhaven today depicts numerous police cars and ambulances at the scene, alongside a helicopter, with several individuals on stretchers receiving critical care. It is understood that at least two arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
The lorry arrived at the East Sussex port of Newhaven on a passenger ferry from Dieppe this morning and is currently under examination aboard the ship.
Authorities in the UK were alerted prior to the ship’s arrival from France, and emergency services were positioned on the dockside.
