A 20-year-old man has been found guilty of the murder and sexual assault of his sister, 16.
Connor Gibson murdered his sister Amber in a forest in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, on November 26, 2021.
He strangled her, removed her clothing, and sexually assaulted her with the intent of rape. She was reported missing later that same night.
Two days later, her body was discovered in Cadzow Glen around 10.10 am.
Despite denying the charges against him, Gibson was convicted earlier today after a 13 day trial at the High Court in Glasgow.
