A young girl has been subjected to a sexual assault while on a train. Police have released footage of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the assault. The incident occurred on a train traveling from Wellingborough to Kettering in Northamptonshire.
The victim was part of a group of school children who boarded the train around 4.45pm on Tuesday, September 12.
Seated in the middle of the train, a man initiated a conversation with one of the boys in her group. Subsequently, he made inappropriate comments about the victim’s appearance, and as the group stood up to exit the train, he sexually assaulted her.
The assailant is believed to have boarded a train heading towards Leicester. Anyone with information is urged to contact British Transport Police.
