A pop star has died aged 42 following a cosmetic procedure, leaving behind her seven-year-old daughter.
Singer Dani Li had her operation on Friday 19 January, but tragically died on Wednesday. The 42-year-old – full name Danielle Fonseca Machado – went in for liposuction on her belly and back, as well as a breast reduction. She had the procedure in Pinhais, Brazil but is said to have suffered a complication and had to be rushed to a hospital in nearby Curitiba.
Dani leaves behind her daughter and husband Marcelo Mira. He told local media: “Her body arrives tomorrow in Macapá. We are very shaken by all this. The burial will be on Saturday.” Dani is well-known in Brazil after she shot to fame with her hit ‘Eu sou da Amazônia’ (I’m from the Amazon).
